Short biography

Volker Viechtbauer spent almost three decades at Red Bull, including many years leading legal affairs and human resources. He has seen how ideas take shape, people assume responsibility, and deeply held convictions become real achievements. A long-standing close associate and confidant of Dietrich Mateschitz. Following his death, an adviser to Mark Mateschitz.

Viktor Frankl’s thinking has accompanied him for years. Freedom, personal responsibility, and meaning inform his reflections on entrepreneurship, leadership and now artificial intelligence.

He writes as a lawyer and a reflective practitioner, not as an AI researcher. This book brings personal experience to a question that concerns us all: how can we use technology’s possibilities without giving up our own judgment? Volker Viechtbauer lives in Salzburg.
